EDM (electrical discharge machining) is fascinating even if you don't work in the field. The process alone is an impressive sight. We use this conventional eroding machine to remove tiny amounts of material when manufacturing molds, and also for rework and repairs. Removing amounts in the µ-range with such spectacular views combines utility and aesthetics.
